Pool Opening Inground

Pool opening consists of:

Remove winter plugs in pool, remove solid cover, brush to clean, treat with cover cleaner, fold OR remove safety cover, flush & reseat anchors, fold. Install equipment drain plugs and strainer baskets. Lubricate all orings and gaskets. Install ladders, handrails, diving board, slide and light as applicable on inground pools (we do not install ladders on above ground pools). Prime and start filter pump - providing system is operational and pool water is at operating level. Add DE (if applicable). Insert filter (if applicable). Add liquid chlorine or non-chlorine shock -dosage based on pool size – please allow the pool to circulate 24 hours before adding further chemicals.  (Please notify us if you require peroxide shock.) Check circulation for adequate flow. Report any concerns or recommendations to pool owner. Deliver pre-ordered pool supplies. 

Customer Responsibilities:

Turn on electrical power and water at equipment area. Pump off water from cover and remove debris. Adjust water to proper operating level (pool system will not be started if this is not completed). Make sure plugs and baskets are at the equipment location. Bring a water sample to our store to complete pool water balancing within 24 to 48 hours. Make arrangements to have gates and pool house unlocked and animals secured.

Please be sure your cover is clear of any water and debris.  If our schedule doesn't allow for the additional time, your pool opening will need to be rescheduled.  I understand I may be charged for extra time, or be rescheduled.

       I WILL REMOVE ANY WATER/DEBRIS PRIOR TO MY APPOINTMENT

       I MAY BE CHARGED EXTRA FOR REMOVAL - OR BE RESCHEDULED

*A travel fee has been added to your location.  Any return trip required due to the customer responsibilities not being fulfilled will result in an additional standard service call fee of $150 plus mileage.  

**Leisure World cannot guarantee that water and/or debris from the cover will not go into your pool at the time of removal.  However, we will do our absolute best to prevent this from occurring during the pool opening. We do not clean your pool as a result of debris falling into the pool or as part of the opening.
